In the academic year of 1997-1998, our program called "Deck" was changed to "Maritime Transportation and Management" program with the decision of YÖK on 19.06.2009 in the academic year of 2009-2010. This program was established in order to watchkeeping officers needed in the maritime sector. Students are admitted to the program within the scope of YÖK program and with numerical score. The contents of the course are prepared according to the curriculum of the A-II / 1 Watchkeeping Officer (3000 GT) stipulated by the International Maritime Convantions and the criteria of YÖK. In the Maritime Transportation and Management program, where one year of English preparation and two-year vocational training are applied, 13 lecturers, 5 of whom are permanent staff and 8 of them are contracted, and 180 students are studying.
